The Costs

There is absolutely no fee to register your special occasion with 1bigpresent.com.  All we ask however is that you activate your account by making a small deposit (min £5) within 14 days of registration.  This deposit can be made by yourself (a useful exercise to see how the site will work for your guests) or indeed by one of your guests.  Any account with no activity after 14 days will automatically expire, but don't worry, we will send you a gentle reminder by email before your 14 day trial period expires. 

For a limited period only - OUR MAXIMUM FEE IS AN AMAZING £100 - so no matter how generous your guests are you will never pay more than £100 commission!!

Our commission charge is a competitive 6.9%* of your total Gift Fund.  This will automatically be deducted when you close your account.  We operate with a minimum and maximum commission.  Our minimum fee is £30 so you will always pay that amount no matter how low your fund is at it's close.  *Our maximum fee is £100 which means that no matter how much is received into your Gift Fund our commission charge will never go above £100.  

(An average wedding fund is around £2500 so at 6.9% you would normally pay £172.50 but remember with 1bigpresent your fees are capped at a competitive £100!) 

We do currently add an administration fee to individual guest transactions on the website. This is on a sliding scale and goes some way towards our Paypal costs.  When looking at this please consider that your guests will not have postage or delivery costs to pay.  You will find full details of these costs under our FAQ's.  Our shopping cart is provided by Paypal Website Payments Pro which also fully guarantees the security of the money contributed by your guests. 

We are able to supply attractive invitation inserts at a cost of 10p each (including UK postage) which provide your guests with all they need to know about the 1bigpresent service.  These should be ordered at the point of registration.
